Mark Theisinger(ABIPP) is our highly experienced, multi awarded, professionally qualified photographer who has worked internationally across several nations and had his work published in several titles. He has now set up his studio in Launceston having relocated back to Cornwall with his family after being based in the Midlands. 
Loving life - he is a thoroughly nice chap and his warm personality and skill has enabled him over the years to get stunning images across literally 1000's of shoots from celebrities, fashion, news, commercial and charity organisations to individuals who love his approach to creating a very boutique style of work.

At Gateway Studio we love to create great memories! Certainly the past year or so with the intense lockdown has made us all appreciate the value of family and friends as we long to be together. Getting together for a photoshoot is certainly a wonderful way create something that will be treasured for many years. Would you like to experience being glammed up and pampered; having a very special and enjoyable time with a make up & style artist. Or perhaps gathering the family in all its generations that will be remembered with pride over the years, especially as the younger ones grow up and head off to start their own life adventures in new locations and leave the family nest.

Commercial Work

Let's not forget that Mark's extensive commercial experience also runs hand in hand with the boutique style of portraiture. He has worked for a whole host of clients that needed his professional skill and advice across number of industries and sectors both home and abroad.

Photography Training

Mark has previously worked as the lead instructor for the (Ministry of Defence MOD) Defence School of Photography Defence Media Operations Photography training course, providing advanced photography training to professional military photographers. However, you may be an amateur and just enjoy taking pictures but would love to learn how to take better shots with that new camera. Whatever the need or interest; group classroom instruction and individual one on one sessions are available at several levels.   • Can you photograph large families

    Yes! No problem in studio or on location. In fact Mark once had to cover a crowd of 820,000 so he is pretty relaxed at covering family gatherings.

  • What should we wear for our shoot?

    Once booked Mark will chat through all the details of the shoot and even clothing, colours and looks etc that you want to create with him.The important thing is that if you're happy and relaxed in what you wear it will show!

  • I get nervous in front of a camera

    It is very common and normal for people to feel uncomfortable - a great photographer has not only amazing camera skills but amazing people skills and you can relax knowing Mark has these qualities in abundance to make you feel and look good!

  • Can we just have a digital shoot?

    No and the reason is "Boutique Photography" has special quality lighting and composition that will be professionally printed, mounted and framed to be enjoyed as stunning wall art for your home. DIY digital images rarely make it pass social media and self printed files do not get the same level of finesse and quality that a bespoke professional service provides.


    We can provide a small selection of social media quality files additionally to any wall art ordered.
